Goalkeeping Workshop
by Sheila Norris on the 12th of May 2016
On Thursday 12th May, Kilkenny Camogie ran a goalkeeping course with Coach Ritchie O Neill, the venue was the new Kilkenny Camogie grounds at C B S Callan.
This was a county board sponsored event with 18 clubs represented on the night
Coaches from Glenmore, Tullaroan, St Brigids, Mooncoin, Slieverue, Dicksboro, O’ Loughlin Gaels, Danesfort, Tullogher, James Stephans, St. Lachtains, Conahy Shamrocks, Young Irelands, Windgap, Piltown alongside coaches from our Kilkenny County squads watched on and learned new skills and drills as some of our county Keepers were put through a very intensive and informative session to help improve their already fantastic skills.
It is the County boards hope that following tonight’s session, club coaches will bring back some new skills to their clubs and will help improve all goalies within their clubs and squads.
On behalf of the county board, I would like to thank Ritchie for giving up his time and for running an excellent session, to all the coaches and goalies who turned up to learn and improve their skills and finally to the county board for sponsoring this event and with clubs support we will try run more workshops as the year goes on .
