Statement regarding Covid 19 from Kilkenny Camogie

Kilkenny Camogie is very aware of the concerns surrounding the current COVID 19. While we are awaiting an official statement from The Camogie Association, we wish to put the following measures in place.
To minimise all close contact at training or matches, we would ask all players and mentors to arrive at training ‘togged off’.

Everyone should bring their own water bottles, clearly marked with their name.

If possible, use hand sanitiser before and after training or matches, if not possible a good soapy handwash will suffice.

No hand-shakes before or after matches, a friendly nod will do the job.

All camogie activity will be reviewed in the event that schools are closed. Up to that point, we will just follow all the expert advice.

Finally, don’t panic but let’s not be foolish either. Hopefully in a few weeks all will be back to normal and we will be back worrying about the state of pitches!
