Liberty Insurance Senior Camogie Championship Semi Final
Kilkenny v Cork
Venue – Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Cork 12.30pm- Referee – Owen Elliott (Antrim)
Kilkenny Seniors will be hoping to make their fifth consecutive All Ireland final on Saturday 12th December when they on Cork in Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Saturday
Kilkenny beat Waterford in their first group match 0-15 to 0-8. Their second match was against last years Intermediate champions Westmeath and they had a comprehensive win 6-13 to 1-7. They finished off their group campaign Limerick, winning 2-16 to 0-8
Cork received a walkover in their first match from Offaly and defeated Wexford in their next game 3-12 to 0-8. They played Galway in their last group game & lost 0-12 to 0-15. As runners up in their group they were drawn against Clare in the Quarter Finals and won 3-15 to 0-8.
Cork will be hoping to get back to the final after falling at the same hurdle last year to Galway
Kilkenny & Cork met in the 2016, 2017 & 2018 All Ireland Finals with the Rebels winning the last two by the minimum after losing the 2016 final by 5 points
The last time the sides met was in this years League where the Rebels edged out the Cats. Cork have a very talented forward in Amy O’Connor, Orla Cronin & Katrina Mackey. Similarly the Kilkenny forwards are in terrific form and have racked up great scores
I feel this game will be a cracking encounter and I don’t expect much to be between the sides at the final whistle. I feel Kilkenny are building great momentum and can get the better of Cork
