St John’s Senior Primary School host Mini 7’s Competition
by PRO on the 16th of April 2023
On Monday 27th March, St John’s Senior Primary school hosted the Mini 7’s Camogie Competition. We played in the Mini 7s Games Competition in O’ Loughlin Gael’s GAA pitch. Four schools were in the competition. We competed against Clara, Danesfort and Paulstown. Our opponents were very strong. But with goals from Elizabeth and Erin, points from Chloe and a strong defense by Leah and Ava on our backline and thanks to heroic efforts by Amy, Sophia, Sadie and Lily in midfield and our brilliant goalie Mary Ellen we got wins in our matches against Danesfort and Paulstown. Clara had a strong team and proved unbeatable in each match. Clara’s camogie team and our camogie team St John’s Senior now progress to the next round after successfully winning in the group stages. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all teams that took part in the competition and to our wonderful coaches Ms Irish and Ms Dermody.
Elizabeth Sida and Erin Hanrahan 6th class camogie players St John’s Senior Primary School Kilkenny.
