St Aidan’s got the better start and made the first break, both teams battled hard in the  middle of the pitch with not alot of ground being given up.

Both sides made attempts to score and it was St Aidan’s that got the first point.

The sun was hot and it was tough going, all the girls were doing great. Both sides were winning frees, but it was St Aidan’s that made more use of them with 2 points from the frees and another point from play before half time

Second half got underway with Freshford getting a good run of play and holding ground midway in the pitch, Freshford put constant pressure on St Aidan’s goal but just couldn’t find the target.

This half saw St Aidan’s do some scoring 2 goals followed by a point they were slowly pulling away. Freshford however kept fighting and never stopped trying.

But St Aidan’s just found that little bit extra and using their height and physicality to their advantage another 2-3 they racked up.

Both teams on the day literally gave everything, and no-one could ask more than that from these girl.
