Dicksboro progress to the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Senior League Final after defeating Windgap on a chilly Saturday afternoon in Tullaroan

Windgap started the brightest when Megan Kenneally reacted quickest to the sliotar rebounding off the crossbar, pulling first time and putting the sliotar in the bottom corner of the Boro net

Rose Kelly starting for the injured Jenny Clifford, slotted over the bar for Dicksboro

Then Denise Gaule tagged on two points for Windgap to put them four points ahead. Dicskboro were slow in getting into the game. Orla Hanrick pointed a free after Aoife Prendergast was fouled. Asha McHardy then ran towards the Windgap goal at speed and hit a rasper of a shot to the back of the net to level the match

Dicksboro never looked back after this. Amy Clifford got on the scoring charts with a point from play. Aoife Prendergast added a point from play before Ciara O’Shea narrowed the gap with a pointed free for Windgap

Orla Hanrick slotted over a pointed free for the ‘Boro before Rachel Dowling scored a lovely point out on the wing

Ciara O’Shea pointed a free for Windgap after her namesake on the Boro team brought her down on the 50m line

Over the next seven minutes of the half, no team could add to their tally and the Referee blew the half time whistle with Dicksboro leading 1-7 to 1-4

On the resumption of play, Dicksboro took complete control of the game. Straight from the throw in, Tara McGrath ran at pace towards the Windgap goal and split the posts with a great point. Rachel Dowling & Asha McHardy added points for Dicksboro to put them six ahead

Aoife Prendergast bared down on goal and she was pulled down by a Windgap defender and a Penalty was awarded. Orla Hanrick stood over the sliotar, struck it and it hit the right hand post and back out

Aoife Prendergast was quickest to react, she was bundled up by three players, but got off the shot and into the back of the net

Amy Clifford added another two points for the Boro, before Aoife Prendergast and Asha McHardy added to their tallies with point a piece

Boro substitute Angela Carroll fielded the sliotar after if was cleared from defence and she took off at speed and slotted over the bar

Windgap got their only point of the second half when Ciara O’Shea pointed a free in the 54^th minute

Aoife Prendergast finished off the scoring with two pointed frees for the Cityside to leave the final score Dicksboro 2-17 Windgap 1-5
