O’Loughlin Gaels are through to the Shaws Department Stores Intermediate Semi Final after beating Glenmore in Grennan, Thomastown last Sunday afternoon

Laura Doherty opened the scoring with a point from play for Glenmore. But O’Loughlin’s scored the next three points through Abigael Egan and Laura Greene (2). Annie Kirwan pointed a free for Glenmore before Abigael Egan hit a pinpointed across field pass to Laura Greene to add a point for O’Loughlin’s

Over the next 10 minutes, no scores were added to either tallies, before Laura Murphy added a point for O’Loughlin’s, then Danielle Quigley also added a point for the Cityside

Glenmore scored the next three points through Olive Donnelly and Elizabeth Phelan (2)

Aisling Butler and Annie Kirwan swapped points before Butler and Laura Murphy closed out the scoring for the first half with points for O’Loughlin’s to leave them 0-9 to 0-6 ahead at the interval

On the resumption of play, O’Loughlin’s Laura Greene played a sliotar upfield, Abigael Egan fielded the high ball, turned and hit an unstoppable shot past the Glenmore goalie

Laura Greene added a point from play for O’Loughlin’s before Laura Doherty and Annie Kirwan (f) slotted over points for Glenmore

Laura Murphy converted a free for the Cityside. Laura Greene then scored a great point for O’Loughlin’s on the run after a pinpoint pass from Danielle Quigley

Annie Kirwan scored Glenmore’s final two points of the match through placed balls. O’Loughlin’s scoring the last three points through Laura Murphy (2f) and Eva Collins to leave the final score 1-15 to 0-10
