Kilmacow Junior ladies kicked off round one of the Rivercourt Hotel Junior Championship in a sun drenched Kilmacow on Friday night. Kilmacow hosted Erins Own in very competitive game.
Both teams traded scores throughout the open half with Sophie Williams, Afton Grace and Rose Sheridan for Kilmacow getting their names on the score board.
At the interval Erins Own had the scoring advantage by just one point. (1.05 – 1.04)
Intensity picked up in the second half with both teams clearly in search of points from round one. The above mentioned sharp shooters all registered vital scores at the right time and between the 3 of them registered 2.04. Kilmacow’s defense was excellent by holding the opposition to 3 points in the second half. In the end Kilmacow came away with a great win (3.08 – 1.08)
