The past weekend saw less camogie matches being played compared to previous weeks but thankfully the weather conditions held up for a number of the matches that were played. Some highlights of the matches that were played include:
- Tullaroan capturing the Minor A camogie title with a deserved 5-8 to 3-6 win in challenging conditions in Castlecomer on Saturday 24th October. This completed a league and championship double for Tullaroan at minor level this year.
- John Lockes qualifying for the Junior championship final for the third year in a row after a convincing 3-17 to 1-3 win over depleted Blacks & Whites in their semifinal in Kells Road on Sunday morning.
- Tullogher qualifying for their first Junior championship final after a dramatic conclusion to their hotly contested semifinal against Carrickshock on Sunday morning in Mullinavat.
- Thomastown and James Stephens qualifying for the Junior C Cup final after convincing wins over Mooncoin and Young Irelands in the semifinals on Sunday morning.
Match reports for a number of these matches will be posted later in the week.
